Motorcycle Insurance

Motorcycle insurance is not required in Washington. Few motorcycle drivers take the risk of not being insured, though. Like any other motor vehicle, a motorcycle is an investment and insuring will lower repair costs and increase the safety of the driver.

If you are interested in obtaining motorcycle insurance, the recommended minimum is:

  • $25,000 of bodily injury or death of 1 person in any 1 accident.
  • $50,000 of bodily injury or death of any 2 people in any 1 accident.
  • $10,000 of injury to or destruction of property of others in any 1 accident.

Because the likelihood of a crash is higher for motorcycle drivers than automobile drivers, it is also advised to include high Personal Injury Protection (PIP).
