Accident Coverage

Accident coverage in Washington is an insurance to rely upon when you get into a wreck, or your vehicle needs repair. It's a popular choice among new or mid-mileage car owners. Also known as collision insurance, it insures vehicle parts not covered under a regular insurance policy.

Accident coverage's purpose is to repair your vehicle when physical damage occurs from a collision with another vehicle or object, and it is usually subject to your deductible. Although it is not required, vehicle owners elect to include accident coverage to ensure every part and component will be protected when they are damaged. Other reasons are:

  • Collision insurance will repair the vehicle in full even if you were the cause of the accident.
  • The damages are paid for when another driver damages your vehicle.
  • Collision insurance pays for repairs that your basic insurance policy does not cover.
